Nice day for a hike
On Saturday, the temperature in Liverpool skyrocketed all the way up to 60 degrees. We - along with just about everyone else in town - decided to take full advantage of the beautiful weather and head outside. Chris and I ended up at Clark Reservation State Park for a short hike around a lake and through the woods. Even without leaves on the trees, it was enchanting.
Unlike most of the trails I've been on before, we actually had to climb rocks to follow the trail. There weren't carved out steps and carefully placed railings throughout this park. And it was a nice change to not be reminded of anything but the trees and rocks and moss and the like.

Disney World: Animal Kingdom
My favorite park is probably Animal Kingdom. Pictured below is Mount Everest, a crazy roller coaster with a yetti chasing you down.
We saw two great stage shows, "Finding Nemo" and "The Spirit of the Lion King" (pictured below).
We also saw a really neat bird show. They let the birds fly out over the audience, and one even grabbed a dollar bill out of a guy's hand.
Then we went on a jungle safari and saw all these wonderful animals. The giraffe was a baby ... a baby that was as tall as the cliff beside it, and much taller than our huge safari vehicle.
Definitely a great park to go to. :-) How can you not love getting to see all these amazing creatures?

Disney World: Epcot
On Monday we went to Epcot and got to see the beginning of the flower festival. We ate in Italy, went "Soarin" above California, and blasted to Mars on "Mission Space." All in all, I'd say it was a pretty good day. :-)
"And oh that blowfish blow!"
Dessert at the Italian restaurant. This wasn't mine, but it looked so good I had to take a picture of it.
Tired after a long day.

Disney World: Hollywood Studios
One of the best new attractions at Disney's Hollywood Studios is called, "Lights, Motor, Action." It's a stunt show with cars that would put the bat mobile to shame, motorcycles, jet skis, fire, shoot outs, and so on.
For lunch we went back in time to the Sci-Fi Drive-In Theater. We got to watch old movie snippets, cartoons and dancing candy going to the concession stand while we ate our dinner. The best part? Check out the car/tables we're sitting in.
Another great show at Hollywood Studios is a classic, the Indiana Jones stunt show. Below is "Harrison Ford's stunt double"(a man about a third of Ford's age). During this performance, we got to see Indi get rolled over by the giant rolling rock, jump across buildings while beating up ninjas, and fight to the death in front of a propeller plane.
The next day, we went to Blizzard Beach water park during the day. For dinner, we headed to perhaps Chris's favorite place to eat and be entertained: Medieval Times.
Chris, Cat and Elias check out the medieval village.
Our commentator welcomes us to the show.
The Executioner (the drink pictured below) also welcomes us to the show.
The knights in action. Spoiler: the bad guy loses.

Disney World: Magic Kingdom Day One
Chris and I flew down to Orlando last Wednesday night to spend our spring break at Disney World. Since neither of us are in school, I suppose it's not really "spring break" but I did just find out I've been accepted to grad school at Syracuse University. So that should count for something. haha
After passing a nearly sleepless night in anticipation of the exciting next day, we headed straight for Magic Kingdom. Here's a picture of the rental car we got stuck with. ;-) Who says spiders aren't beautiful? lol
I took the same picture of Chris last year when we went to Disney World, so I decided we needed to keep up the tradition. He stands here on Main Street, USA.
Okay, these elephants aren't real. They're part of the Jungle Cruise. But you almost can't tell from the picture ...
Walt Disney stands hand in hand with his good pal Mickey Mouse.
Now Mickey is holding hands with Minnie. That mouse sure gets around. ;-)
Cinderella's castle right before the fireworks show. On the second night we were here, Tinkerbell actually flew down from the top of the castle over the crowds head, right into Tomorrowland. (She was on a rip cord, of course, but the effect was still amazing).

Trip to Ithaca
On Sunday, we took Adam and Andrea down to Ithaca to check out the gorges and go wine tasting. The weather was a little rainy and warm-ish, but still cold enough that ice flows continued to block the path up the gorge. See pictures below.
Well, if you can't follow the path ... take a picture in front of it. haha
That's a fun backyard ...
At one of the wineries, we found this cow called Melody. We bought treats to feed her, but I felt bad for her little friends, so I fed one of the goats.
Between the wine my mom bought for us from Sandhill Crane winery, the "Two Buck Chuck" and our wine from Ithaca, I think our wine rack will be filled for a very long time.
The spoils of our wine tasting tour.
