Boy Banners, Monogram Prints, and More

For a couple months now, I've been dying to share with everyone my latest projects that I am currently selling on my etsy shop. To see what I have for sale, go to suchcreativewhimsy.etsy.com or click here. My mom has been making all sorts of adorable banners for holidays (Christmas, Fourth of July, Halloween, etc.) and for little girls, so I ran with her idea and made some banners as Christmas gifts for my nephews. I bought a variety of fleece and felt fabric from JoAnn Fabrics and this is what I came up with.

This is the banner we gave to our nephew, Jackson.
The banner Chris and I gave to our nephew Evan.

I had a lot of fun picking out all the different patterns and matching them with different color felt flags.

So for anyone intrerested, I'm now selling these flags on my Etsy.com store, Such Creative Whimsy.

Additionally, I've been creating monogram prints out of the "drop cap" you find at the beginning of magazine articles. I scan the page, crop it, and blow it up to 5"x7" or 8"x10" size. Then I use photo-editing software to get rid of any stray marks or smudges. And the results have been pretty cool so far. The letter takes on a really neat textured look because it's so zoomed in. You can see each dot of the original ink printing.

I also made a bunch of these into Christmas presents for our family this year. So I'm glad I can finally let the cat out of the bag and post this fun craft I've been working on. Again, if you're interested in purchasing one of my prints, check out my Etsy site by following this link or typing the url "suchcreativewhimsy.etsy.com".

I have a few other items for sale on the site, including these UFO notecards ...

... and this original drawing.

So in case anyone needs proof that I'm not playing computer games ALL the time while I'm not working, there it is. haha I haven't had any sales yet, but I'm hopeful. So if you or anyone you know is looking for original art, home decor, or notecards, send them my way!

Oh, and check back soon, because I'll be posting pictures from Christmas, New Years, and my friend Cara's wedding that I was recently in!
